The Business Council of New York State, through our Civic and Engagement Committee and in partnership with Medgar Evers College School of Business and the Capital Area Urban League, is proud to announce our Diverse New York – Economic Mobility Roundtable on November 12, 2025, from 4pm to 5:30pm at Medgar Evers College. The roundtable will be the first of a three-part series exploring how New York can create a diverse, inclusive and strong economy. The first roundtable on November 12th will explore Black economic mobility. The November 12th roundtable will be followed by future roundtables on Latino economic mobility and rural economic mobility.

Following the roundtable, we will be hosting a reception honoring our not-for-profit members Kings Against Violence Initiative (KAVI) and Henry Street Settlement. All sponsorship donations, excluding event costs, will be donated to KAVI (https://www.kavibrooklyn.org) and Henry Street Settlement (https://www.henrystreet.org). Individual donations can be made prior to the event for those interested in providing additional support. The event will be catered by James Beard nominated Chef Charles Gabriel from Charles Pan Friend Chicken.
